Front Office Staff

	My name is Joan Petersen. I am the Scheduling Coordinator. I have been at Southway Orthodontics since January 2003. Prior to working for Dr. Christensen, I worked for another orthodontist for 18 years, here in Lewiston. I will be the first person who will greet and welcome you to our office. I will also schedule your appointments and make sure the patient flow is on track. I am married and have two daughters and four grandchildren. I thank God for all the blessings in my life.
	My name is Darla Jones. I am the Treatment Coordinator. I have worked for Dr. Christensen since February 2003. I have been in customer service for more than 30 years. Don’t try and figure out my age! Working with people has always been my passion. I never thought I’d work for a doctor because I thought they were too boring — NOT! This would be the exact opposite for Dr. Christensen and our staff. Each day here, at Southway Orthodontics, is always exciting, fun, and full of games. I will be there for your first consultation with the doctor. I will also coordinate with him your steps of treatment and help make your first visit to the office welcoming, comfortable and fun.
	My name is Kathy Baerlocher.  I am the Financial & Insurance Coordinator at Southway Orthodontics. I help coordinate the financial arrangements and insurance for you by setting up the financial contacts and billing your insurance.  I have more than 20 years experience working with Preferred Provider Organizations and traditional insurance.  My fellow teammates and the patients have brought me a lot of joy.  I have been at Southway Orthodontics since February 2006.  I have been working in the medical field for more than 20 years.  I graduated from Lewis Clark State College in the medical program.  I have taken continuing education yearly to stay up to date with the changes in today’s world.

Clinic Staff

	My name is Sandy Dawes. I am an Orthodontic Assistant at Southway Orthodontics. I have been at Southway Orthodontics since May 2004. I have over 30 years experience assisting.  Along with my everyday duties, I also assist Dr. Christensen with surgeries. As an assistant, we place braces and appliances on the patients as Dr. Christensen instructs us to. After all, he is the brain behind the practice! The assistants manage their patient’s care from start to finish, and I enjoy every step to the finished smile.I have been married to my wonderful husband since April 1982 and have been blessed with the two best boys in the world. We enjoy Christian life, camping, skiing, snowboarding, and just about anything outdoors.
	My name is Rhonda Millage.  I joined the Southway Orthodontic’s team in August 2005.  I am one of the orthodontic assistants.  I enjoy working at Southway Orthodontics because of the wonderful patients we have and the relationships we build with them.  I am happily married to a wonderful man, Rich, since September 1993.  We have three children and two grandchildren who mean the world to us.  Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and going 4-wheeling whenever possible.
	My name is Peggy Glasser.  I am one of the orthodontic assistants in the office.  I have worked at Southway Orthodontics since July 2004.  I am a single mom of 4 with 2 granddaughters.  I enjoy family life, being outdoors camping, fishing, riding motorcycles and following my boys’ wrestling.  I also love to sing and dance with a plan of touring with Shania Twain someday, and of course, she would be my backup singer.  With my caring “gift of gab”, I will strive to make your visit a memorable one.  I enjoy working on the patients while making it fun with laughter and visiting with their families.  My goal with the patients is that they enter as strangers and leave as friends.
	My name is Diane Baker. I have been at Southway Orthodontics since January 2003. I am one of our lab technicians. I make the appliances that are essential for complete treatment. Spending time with my grandchildren is my greatest gift. Other hobbies include dancing, a “Zumba” exercise class and women bible studies. I am truly blessed to have Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.
