Front Office Staff

Joan Petersen is our scheduling coordinator. She has been at Southway Orthodontics since January, 2003. Prior to working for Dr. Christensen, she worked for another orthodontist for 18 years here in Lewiston. She will be the first person who will greet and welcome you to our office. She will also schedule your appointments and make sure the patient flow is on track. She is married and has two daughters and four grandchildren. She thanks God for all the blessings in her life.

Darla Jones is our treatment coordinator. She has worked for Dr. Christensen since February, 2003, but has been in customer service for more than 30 years. Working with people has always been her passion. She never thought she'd work for a doctor because she thought they were too boring — NOT! This would be the exact opposite for Dr. Christensen and our staff. Everyday at Southway Orthodontics is exciting, fun, and full of games. She will be there for your first consultation with the doctor. She will also coordinate with him your steps of treatment and help make your first visit to the office welcoming, comfortable, and fun.

Debby Dahlberg is our financial coordinator. Debby started working for Dr. Christensen in August, 2010. She will assist you with your financial needs and with the collection of payments. Debby is also responsible for all insurance billing. She has lived in the valley for nearly 30 years. She is married to Larry and has four children and five grandchildren. Her favorite activity is spending time with her family. She is also a fitness enthusiast and has taught fitness classes in the valley for more than 25 years.

Clinic Staff

Sandy Dawes is an orthodontic assistant at Southway Orthodontics. She has been at Southway Orthodontics since May, 2004, and has more than 30 years experience. Along with her everyday duties, she also assists Dr. Christensen with surgeries. As an assistant, she places brackets and appliances on the patients as Dr. Christensen instructs her to. After all, he is the brain behind the practice! The assistants manage their patient’s care from start to finish, and she enjoys every step to the finished smile. She has been married to her wonderful husband since April, 1982, and has been blessed with the two best boys in the world. They enjoy Christian life, camping, skiing, snowboarding, and just about anything outdoors.

IlaMarie Christensen is the oldest child of Dr. Christensen and Eddieka. She has been working at the office since she was very young. She started working in sterilization and after she graduated from high school in 2009, she started assisting chairside. She is currently attending BYU-Idaho. During the summers, she comes home to work at her dad's office. She plays the piano and is learning to play the guitar. She loves her family!

Kayla Cerutti has worked at Southway Orthodontics since September of 2009. She is one of Dr. Christensen's chairside assistants and enjoys it very much. She is a firm believer of living life to its very fullest. When she is not assisting, you can find her enjoying one of her many hobbies such has riding motorcycles and ATVs, rock climbing, snowboarding, trap shooting, boating, camping, traveling, and attending live concerts. She thanks God each day for blessing her with a big, wonderful family and a passion for life.

Anna Broemeling started working for Dr. Christensen in June, 2010. At Southway Orthodontics, Anna is responsible for the patients’ records. She will take X-rays, diagnostic pictures, and impressions for taking cast molds in aiding in diagnostic treatment planning. She enjoys interacting with our wonderful patients on a daily basis. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, camping, 4-wheeling, traveling and spending time with her family. She also enjoys spending time at the park with her dog, Hallie. She is grateful every day for the wonderful life that she has.

Holly Heistman has worked for Dr. Christensen since July, 2010. She is one of our orthodontic assistants.She especially enjoys working with all of the patients she has come to know, and the team here at the practice.

Connie Evans has worked for Dr. Christensen since July, 2010. She is one of our orthodontic assistants. She loves getting to know patients on a personal level and watching as they progress throughout their treatments with confidence.

BK Kachelmeier has worked at Southway Orthodontics since May, 2010. She is one of Dr. Christensen's lab technicians. She does whatever it takes to make sure that patients who come to our practice have a great experience.

Diane Baker has been at Southway Orthodontics since January, 2003. She is one of our lab technicians. She makes the appliances that are essential for complete treatment. Spending time with her grandchildren is her greatest gift. Other hobbies include dancing, Zumba, and women’s bible studies. She is truly blessed to have Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.
