Dr. Bret Christensen, was raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He attended dental school at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. After graduation, he spent one year in an Advanced Education General Dentistry Residency at Ft. Carson, Colorado. Dr. Christensen practiced General Dentistry in the Army and then was accepted to the University of Louisville Orthodontic Residency, Louisville, Kentucky. For his master’s degree, Dr. Christensen completed his thesis on “The Treatment of Class III Maxillary Deficient Children Using Facemask Protraction.” Upon graduation from his orthodontic residency in 1999, he was awarded the position of Chief of Orthodontics at the two-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. Dr. Christensen served as President of the North Idaho Dental Association from 2006-2007. Dr. Christensen and his wife, Eddieka, were married in 1989. They are the parents of five children.
The doctor is an active member of the American Dental Association and state and local dental societies. He is board eligible for the American Board of Orthodontics.
In addition, Dr. Christensen and his family love horses. They raise quarter horses and his family compete and participate in reining competitions at the local, regional and national levels.
